Would you wear flannel in the summer?

Yes, but I live in a city with a cold summer.

For some reason, as I get interested in heavier fabrics, I'm starting to think it's a good idea, look-wise. Can't really explain why yet. BTW I meant mid to low weight flannel, I'm not a masochist or at least not that kind.

I wanted to make this public to expose the evilness of our members but it appears it is too late.

No, but I live in Texas. This week has been the first week in DFW so far this fall when it has been cold enough to consider flannel.

Yes, and I do give my white flannels an airing occasionally. I would quite like to give the old AA/Esquire combination of white flannel trousers and grey flannel jacket a try one day, if only I could find the right jacket. Having a white flannel blazer made up trimmed in my college colours is also highly tempting, but my wife would kill me.

E.G.: Summer DB 8oz H&S Dragonfly FLANNEL, emerzine lining.

There are other "summer weight" flannels. Fox has several.

Yes, I have worn heavy flannel...a bit warm but I just crank down the AC in my office and courts are always cold & miserable places thus the flannel keeps me toasty

I look forward to wearing the London Lounge Triple Overcheck 14oz flannel on the hotest day of the year.

I'm wondering what is the most weight our heavyweight savior SATOR has worn in the summer?

Yes.

White/cream flannel in the middle of summer as trousers. Sort of sporty, in the vein of old-fashioned cricket or tennis whites. I sometimes wear light grey flannel suits in early summer too.

Thick flannels or flannels in dark colours? No.

Anybody know of summer-weight flannel in solid colors in current production?

Fox has a range of 7.5- 8 oz solids. H&S also had solids in the Dragonfly book IIRC.

I think Loro Piana does a range of lightweight flannels. Holland & Sherry also, I think.

(sorry, just read yachtie's post about H&S above; didn't mean to repeat unnecessarily)

I have yet to come across a tailor who has Fox in stock or even has the books.

I don't remember Dragonfly but I will check it out.
