For rainy/snowy days these would obviously make sense. However, I the Dainite soles also make dress shoes feel a little casual. I was considering buying a pair of the C&J Pembrokes as one of my staple black dress shoes, but ended up with a pair of Alden Wingtip Cordovans instead. One of the reasons being the Dainite vs. Leather soles.
I'd be interested to hear your opinions on whether you'd consider a Dainite sole more for special situations - rain/snow/boots/casual shoes etc or whether you'd consider wearing it daily in a dress shoe with a suit.
