Would You Match These Navy Shoes With This Suit Color?

Hi, I would like your opinion on whether or not the following shoes would go along with a suit made out of the wool color given. Keep in mind that the shoes, unless light directly hits on them, look almost black (or at least very dark blue) in person. The wool color photo, due to the phone's camera, is a bit distorted but nevertheless should give a general sense of the blue's liveliness.

Would appreciate your thoughts on the combination!

Those shoes are too formal for those pants.

Also, navy shoes don't go with anything. Unless those shoes are sneakers.

I believe he's asking for those shoes w/ the bolt of french navy / bright blue cloth, not the pants pictured.

Either way, I don't think the shoes work w/ that blue. I think you'd be better off with a brown tone shoe.

Also - the black heel cap on those shoes is weird and is attempting to casualize a formal shoe in a bad way. I wouldn't wear those with any suit.

Oh whoops, sorry. Yes, you're right. I misread the question.

Not a fan of strange shoes -- unusual colors, leathers, designs, etc. I think you're better off with a more classic shoe in mid brown with that fabric.

Thanks for the answers, everyone. Just wanted to receive more input on what a limited few in my environment had already shared thoughts on, and there seems to be an overall consensus!

I don't fancy them at all. The heel-patch make them look cheap, and the last is very boxy and unflattering.

I'm curious, how strange is too strange for you? Do bit loafers grab too much attention? Button boots?

I'm not a fan of spectators, exotic leathers, or strange colors, etc. either, but I don't really think you need to put your shoes all the way into the background.

I think bit loafers can be ok.

Would not do button boots.

I'm not really into dandy or #menswear looks. And I think classic outfits should have some connection to social culture or history. You can wear black tassel loafers, brown derbies, black Gucci loafers, or whatever else. Those things send a social message to me, it has some connection to history and culture. For a more classic coat-and-tie look, I dislike combos that look like someone randomly put shapes and colors together, like the outfit is a painting. Or the only message it sends is that it's #menswear.
