It would honestly depend if I found a used pair of jeans that I actually wanted. Never buy something just because you are getting a good deal. I've learned that the hard way. The good news though, is that I learned it at all.

Actually that's even a better point when we consider that most people here would only be satisfied buying washed jeans that are of the coveted (great fades) and therefore expensive ilk.

In alot of cases a brand new pair of LVC will be cheaper than a used washed LVC.

The only 'new' items of clothing I buy these days are socks & underwear, everything else comes either from eBay, car boot sales or charity shops. I bought my last brand new suit from Army & Navy in London, it is a Crombie, dark blue pinstripe, in wool, cashmere & silk and cost over £600. I recently bought 3 Canali suits, 2 Canali jackets and an Armani jacket for £25 the lot, from a boot sale. They cost me £90 to have dry cleaned & pressed but all were unworn, the jackets still had the pockets stitched.

I doubt I'd ever now consider buying new from a retailer again.

I'm definitely the kind of guy that doesn't care getting dirty, so that may have something to do with my attitude. I do wear used clothing, simply because there are no health concerns and they are clothes that I like.

I personally think that the risk of catching anything from wearing an unwashed pair of used jeans is next-to-zero; BUT if that bothers anyone, simply wash the damn things. When it comes to the raw denim snobs, I can understand not wanting a pair of jeans that have wear that does not match your frame or habits.

Like said above, I prefer my clothing worn just enough to knock off the retail markup

I am very particular about jeans. They have to be long enough and fit well. I generally buy dark blue jeans that are made in the US or Italy for myself or for resale.

Like cooties?

I would buy a slightly used pair of samurai or some other kick-ass jean if they were mad cheap and the perfect size and I didn't know the owner. I think it is somewhat worse to wear jeans previously owned by an acquaintance simply because one somehow knows where their freinds have been (ie pecker tracks).

I'd buy a pair of lightly worn (like once or twice) jeans if it's a good price.

No on used shoes.

Outwear, yes.

Shirts/Polos, ehh not worth it really.

Either you're very well off, or you buy your jeans at WalMart.

I buy everything except socks and underwear used if I find stuff I like. And then I wash it.

Depends on the condition of the jeans.

If you're really a germaphobe wash them. If you want to preserve the condition of the jeans then dry clean them.

OR soak them in hot water with a cap of vinegar. Hang dry outside inside-out in the sun. Anti-Microbial Febreeze the inner legs.

Even if Scarlett have cooties, I am sure it will be as gorgeous as her.

Did you see Scarlett in her pink or skin colour panties prancing around in her hotel room in Lost in Translation? Coppola should just have wardobe let Scarlett wear that throughout the entire show. That would triple box office takings and guarantee the movie an Oscar for best costume design.
