Would you buy the same coat in a different color?

What are your thoughts on buying outerwear, jacket or coat in the same style but a different color?

Do you think that is dumb to do? Or it's cool.

I have this peacoat in gray but I'm seeing a brown color version on sale and I'm thinking of picking it up.

Just bored here and wanted some opinions.

If it is simple yes; if it is unusual or stands out in anyway, no. But given that you like the jacket (and I'm assuming you like the fit) and that the brown is on sale, I'd pick it up.

It's good. Many people who have a tailor basically order the exact same thing every time, only with a different color or fabric.

Yes. I bought two Prorsum peacoats last season that were almost identical, except the color. Don't regret it one bit.

Cool advise and opinions :D

Just picked it up on a great deal. If anything I can always flip it on eBay but I doubt it since brown is my favorite color for outerwear. :foo:

Two pea coats in a row? Do you already have other coats? I would definitely get a different, more versatile coat than a peacoat I just purchased...

Bought the gray last year...got the brown for a great deal today. Now I own 3 coats.

I'm extremely picky with coats and jackets that for me it's hard to find an attractive one in a size small. :satisfied:

I purchased 2 identical Aquascutum raincoats (not trench), one in navy, the other in clay tan. Both served me very well for many years with no regrets. For a peacoat however, Navy would be my first choice and a charcoal grey an alternative but not both.
