Would this tie be acceptable for an interview?

is the interview at a zoo?

sorry, don't mean to be harsh, but, keep it classic. stripe, you can funky up the colour a bit.
modern twist on a classic.

Save that tie for when you have the job. Wear a conservative colored tie with stripes or just a solid color tie. I have a bunch of conversational ties and I would never think to wear one to an interview.

Once a man has a decent repertoire of classic ties, he can branch out into more eccentric choices. For an interview, however, I am reminded of Jeeves' reaction to a tie with "little horseshoes":

thanks for the help, everyone. I've got a navy tie with a sort of stipple pattern or something, I'll just do that. It looks pretty much like a solid navy tie. I'll save the awesome dinosaur one for after I have a job.

No. First of all the pattern looks like it's for a kids tie not a grown adult. Also orange can be a bold and distracting color as well if you went with a rust or some other muted shade that would be fine.

I wouldn't wear an Hermes tie to an interview. I wouldn't wear that dinosaurs tie ever.

You are welcome in advance.

I like your idea about the bold color. I think that something like the following would be perfect:

Rules of thumb about dressing for any interview:

If you have to ask whether something is going to be OK to wear, then it's NOT OK.
