Would like to get some sizing advice to order some online MTM shirts

Hello,

I'll doing an internship in accounting and will be requiered to wear a suit. I rarely wore shirts before because I have lot of trouble getting even decently fitting OTR shirts.

After trying a not insignificant amount of different shirts I came to the conclusion that it would be probably easier to order some shirts at tailorstore.com, as I couldn't really find anything decent.

I made some photos of an shirt I already own that actually fits reasoably well (well not really, I cant close the top button) - I was hoping to get some sizing advice - what should I change in my measurements if I order a MTM shirt based on this one?

here are the pictures: http://imgur.com/a/TKsfS
(The shirt is a Size 40 Regular Fit Selected Homme shirt, I'm 1,76m (5' 9'') tall)

I'd really appreciate any advice, be it answering my question, recommending some brands that might fit better or any other advice.
Thank you!

Edit: With most shirt I get a wave(?) in the back of my neck, if I size up it ends up being huge

You really shouldn't just start at MTM, go out and try on shirts that A- fit your neck properly, B- are in a style you like and C- are the right sleeve length. OTR shirts are almost always too large as they need to fit a large variety of shapes, so just take it to a tailor and they will fix it up for a low price, and you get to see it in person rather than burning a few hundred dollars for some internship.

Picture is not especially helpful for fit assessment. Do the button up and don't slouch. Unless you are over 6'3 or 250 lbs you can probably find something off the rack that fits better than first few attempts at online MTM. Once you have a shirt that fits great (OTR or after tailoring) you can send that in and hope to get it replicated by MTM. Even that is not a sure thing as I literally gave a great fitting fit to an MTM operation and got crap back.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
