Hi,

My name is Bertrand, i m in the us for one year as an exchange student, I come for belgium. Obviously, I really enjoy america and i have to say that i also enjoy the dollar compare to the euro. It s why i order a lot online and that s where i have a problem.

I m interested in a Ralph Lauren shirt, it is a XL children size, would it fit me knowing that last time i bought a ralph lauren rugny shirt in S and it fits the shoulder, etc but it s a bit too long.

I am 5'8" and about 148lbs.

Thanks a lot Bertrand

Welcome,

I've noticed that the Ralph Lauren Polo shirts are cut very large. I have seen misplaced children's XL in the men's section. For your size they would probably work well. Be advised, the arm holes will be higher (which might be a benefit).

From the Polo website's size guide for an XL boy's shirt:

Height: 66.5"-68"
Weight: 127-138lb
Chest: 36"
Waist: 29.5"

Most likely you won't have a problem, if you don't have a problem with slim fit.

I'm 5'7" about 130lbs and I've found that even Ralph Lauren boys large sweaters and shirts can fit (providing the slim fit that I like). The pants on the other hand are a disaster. I'd say give it a shot, another upside is that boys stuff is usually much cheaper.

of course, you can always shop at abercrombie. i stopped in the other day looking for socks and i felt like i was walking in gap kids - 'cept for the obnoxious smell of nasty cologne permeating everything, including me for about five minutes after i immediately left.
