Would a 40S fit me?

I found a nice sport coat on e-bay that measures exactly to me but the only issue is the chest measurement. I usually wear 42S but this 40S is completely correct and has a chest of 42S...Now, I have a slim fit suit that I believe measures to 42" and is a 44". Would it be a safe bet it would fit, albeit maybe a bit tighter like a slim fit?

Well if the measurements are correct then go for it. The sizw does not matter since everyone has a different version of a cetain size.

Pretty much what I thought but you can never be too careful considering it's e-bay. It's just a cheap cotton sport coat, so it's no big deal, but I'll enjoy having a nice summery jacket or two for cheap.
