Worth complaining when dry cleaner wrecks plastic shirt buttons?

Dry cleaner (well, laundry) trashed some plastic shirt buttons. Cracked and all that. Worth complaining or par for the course? Don't tell me to wash my own shirts, I'm too lazy to iron.

I knew starting this threak would be dumb. New dry cleaner and the problem is more apparent than ever before. Maybe I should switch all my shirts to MOP.

I need to move ASAP so I have more space to iron. That's really the issue.

I'm having the same problem (I have a great cleaner, but someone new is working the shirt press). My last two pick-ups have had probably 1/2 of the shirts come back with cracked/trashed buttons.

I mentioned it, and the owner (a friend) said that he would be sure to check my shirts and replace any damaged buttons. You may want to see if they'll do the same for you.

And switching to MOP is unlikely to help.

yup, noticed this in the latest ones I got back. chipped brioni and isaia mop buttons
