I had seen these on the "Centipede's" shoe website some time ago...
http://centipede.web.fc2.com/allen1.html
and had forgotten about it.
Recently, however, I have become an addict of vintage exotics (you've seen the Sea Turtle Longwings), and have found myself a quite capable "pusher" to help feed my addiction. He found these for me.
Vintage Allen Edmonds Tulane Shark Skin & Leather Saddle Shoes.
Personally, I think they may well be the only "wearable" shark skin shoes there are. Let's face it, shark is ugly as hell!!! I'll never understand why someone thought they'd make good shoes, and NEVER understand why they actually sold any.
The brown leather strip of these saddle somehow balances out the extreme look of the yellow/tan shark.
Oh yeah, again, SPECIAL THANKS to my "vintage shoe pusher" for finding these in my size, 8 1/2D, whereas even "Centipede's" pair is a quite unwearable (except for a geisha with bound feet) 9AAA.
