yeah, that was sad. Rooney seemed to give them a boost though. Maybe it's time for the youngsters. Lennon, Rooney, and Walcott all in at once?

Rooney and Lennon for sure, don't know about Walcott though. There are not many people who have even seen him play.
Its almost brings tears to my eyes to see one of the most explosive midfielders ever(Gerrard)sitting in front of the back four just mopping things up.

Thats what I mean, the shot was awesome but he can't do that enough because Sven has him sitting too deep.

Now that was a serious beating. I wonder if it was the first of many for Messi?

It's not as much fun when you can't say Battigoal.

TS, I hate to break this to you, but they're like the denver broncos of international soccer. Until they change their uniform colors, they're only going to cause heartache.

Sure he singlehandedly helped destroy team chemistry almost everywhere he's played, but you know - Battigoal!

FWIW, it's Batigol. They erected a statue in Firenze to honor a player who stuck w/ his team even when they were relegated to Serie B? Where did he destroy team chemistry, and why is he a moron? [IMG]

Sorry, just having fun. ImageWIS takes his soccer seriously. Me, I just like watching the great players. Nedved destroyed the US team, but he looked like a kid out there. I think I'll have nightmares about his hair flowing behind him as he ran free through the US midfield. What a stellar performance though! If you like soccer, you must appreciate his skill.

So too with Argentina, they look like the class of the competition so far.

    Italy vs. US

    Predictions, gentlepersons.

Here's mine, foregoing what will no doubt be the popular Italy-2, US-1 choice, I'll say:

    (drum roll)

    Italy - 3
    US - 1
