Why do they insist on spelling "Checks" that way?

Anyhoo, I'm up 2-0. I'm thinking that no one has ever come back from that in the history of the World Cup.

I am going to strangle you with my bare hands Checks! [IMG] I hope Koller is okay. He looks like he's in some serious pain. Then again, we still look like a bunch of kids playing against the adults out there. b

Eddie Johnson and John O'Brien in for the US. This could help. On the one had, Johnny O has much experience, on the other, Eddie is out to impress and has no fear.

    Edit: Mastroeni and Cherondulo out.

Look on the bright side, the US has (historically speaking) a 4-in-77 chance of a tie.

The US got SPANKED. From end to end. First touches were bad, couldn't connect passes, and were impotent in the 18-yd box. Sad.

    The Czech Rep dominated everything.

Re: Czech Republic. No surprise there. Very good team that is often underestimated. Don't know what their chances are this year though. Who did Portugal play? I'd root for them (even though they were our nemesis in the Euro cup).

Portugal was rather lackluster in their 1-0 win over former colony, Angola....

What do you think of Francesco's new haircut? It may not be new but I have not seen it before.I am not a big fan of long hair on men but I think it definitely suited him more than his new cut.
Lets hope for your sake he will not lose his abilities like Samson.[IMG]

Wow... pity. Did Angola play well or was Portugal just lacking focus?

That is what his hair looked like in the pre-Scudetto season. I thought he looked good w/ the hair long also (or at least he carried it off better than most). Only saw first half - Francesco had a couple of nice 'screamer' 35 yard free kicks - after the first one the Ghanian keeper (who looked atrocious on corners) made sure to put 4 guys in the wall [IMG] , plus some nice passing touches. Overall, Italia was dominant - Ghana did have some chances, but they were completely wasted...

I stand corrected, Ghana dove more than Italy.
