Oh man, I'm laughing so hard I'm crying. The piss test episode is brilliant.
Overwritten, IMO.
It's incredibly hit or miss. The sleepover episode was terrible, in my opinion, but the piss test episode was glorious.
Don't believe I've seen that episode. The problem, besides the over-writing, is that the context for the characters is completely wrong. Because of their generally crude and foul demeanor, they need to interact with 'normal' people, especially in their work environment - and most of the characters they work with are written in the same way (weird/crazy, etc). The reason that kind of humor typically works, or the scenario in which it works best, is other 'normal' characters reacting to it, i.e. Kenny Powers teaching at a school, or the cast of It's Always Sunny interacting with people outside of their group. The writing is just too over the top and outrageous, which causes most of the jokes to fall flat because their obscenity is stale almost instantly from overuse.
my new favorite show! its freakin hilarious
