No big deal. Early in my career, I went directly from breakfast at home, five minutes away, into an Embassy staff meeting still wearing the napkin in my collar to protect my tie. The Ambassador and other Senior Officers who were given to wry (and cutting) understatement had a field day. I reacted with my customary aplomb.

how would one do this, aren't yours pairs of shoes kept together, with the shoes in the same pair right next to each other?

It can only be sprezzatura if it was deliberate. You can't have accidental sprezzatura.
