IMO, an improvement over 2010. I like the majority of the pieces but I am a huge fan of eg and wwm

    Talk about over-design.

Nothing's really all that appealing besides the green jacket.

Would figure the McNairy collection for F/W 2011 will be quite a change.
What's McNairy's track record so far on clothing? I don't recall too many pieces outside of the multi-pocket cargo pants on ACL. Did WWM choose him solely on shoes (pun intended?).

Save for the floral prints it looks like he is leaning towards the current football casual dress with all the pockets and colors. Hey, you have to change it up.

Don't know much about the WWM selection process, although I think Daiki and McNairy have known each other for quite awhile.

You don't (yet) see much of McNairy's clothing at retail. He's had a couple lines previously, most notably McNairy Brothers, and that seemed to be of-a-piece with Daiki's stuff, generally--Quirky, almost exclusively made-in-US versions of American sportswear. Some recent McNairy Brothers pieces on ebay included a Schott-made bomber; a windowpane check, unlined duffel coat; corduroy carpenter pants; and a denim parka. That stuff's all at least 8 years old, I think. You also see some McNairy Brothers Merch on the Japanese auction sites, but it's a lot of graphic tshirts.

From what I've seen, McNairy is less interested in older archival stuff than Daiki, less into hunting/mountain gear, and more interested in milsurp (and I don't just mean digi camo), more straightforward dress clothing, and irony. Pretty sure he's also done womenswear, but I'm not sure how that might translate into WWM.

while I love Daiki's work, I'm most WWM fans at this point already have some version of the upland jacket, upland shirt, a parka, and ranger pants/shorts. It would be nice to see different stuff made with the quality woolrich fabrics (especially the red herringbone wool)
