entirely new to the forum, but man am i so glad i found you guys. sometimes i am just not sure what i'm wearing isn't a disaster, and i want to leave the house with confidence so.. YAY i found this forum.

i recently bought a G-star wool trench coat (high collar) that is really fitting and way cool. is there any way i can wear it with jeans (say dark washed 7's) with darkish pumas without looking like a disaster?

ie is it bad to wear sneakers with them?

many thanks

No. That would be a faux pas (BTW if you can't spell French, stick to English)

Them? Aren't you referring to ONE trenchcoat?

If you mean the trenchcoat and not the jeans, then the answer is yes. If you mean the jeans, then the answer is no.

I'd say if your shoes, jeans, and coat are all very trendy and contemporary you could do it maybe.

That said, I would say don't do it.

And I love my new signature.

I have been wearing running shoes with an overcoat for the last month or so because I was seeking out some suitable waterproof boots and I didn't have anything else to wear on my feet in the mean time. I felt like a chump inside while I was doing this because I knew it was wrong. I advise you to avoid feeling like a chump too and don't wear sneakers or running shoes with your trench coat.
