wool-polyester fabric

i've read that polyester, when added to wool, can confer durability and wrinkle resistance. are these advantages worth considering when comparing sport coats or should synthetic fibers be categorically eschewed? if the former, what is the highest amount of polyester that can be accepted? 10%? 5%?
