Greetings All, i have been pondering on purchasing a Fursac wool chore jacket/overshirt. I have a few wool items but this will be my first coat. Id like to fit this into a fall collection but id like to know the durability of wool jackets, can they handle rain/rubbing from backpacks and such? Particularly the combination of fabrics/percentages in the description? Lastly how is the pricing of this jacket, its in sale right now and im wondering if it is a decent price for what im getting? Someone with more experience is bound to be out there. Thank you

Not a great choice for rain. It will soak it up and it takes quite awhile to dry. It will also not do well under a backpack since it won't wick away sweat. Wool also does not hold up as well under repeated friction, such as backpack straps.

Mainly for some emergency scenarios, in real rain i will get a shell. But if i ever. get caught in rain or use a backpack i need to know if it will ruin the jacket. Wool should be quite durable though from my research. Or is that certain types of wool. Basically im searching for a wool jacket, as durable as the price lets me. With some similarities of the one i linked

Wool is good for warmth, although modern materials are better, but perhaps not as stylish. Depending on the material, you will also get some pilling, which is a result of friction. That is why you put suede elbow pads on tweed jackets. A wool/polyester blend will hold up better.
