Wool coat alterations

Went to a tailor to get a quote, here's what i need done to a new Wool Peacoat:
1)slim the waist
2)remove excess material from the back so it doesn't bunch up.

The quote I got was $60.....
is this too expensive or is it a fair price??
(just seems expensive considering my shirt alterations cost a fraction of that)

Seems they are charging for side and back seams alterations. Never had back seam alterations, but doesn't taking in the waist already reduce material from the back? what's the use of back seam alterations?

Seems about right, I recently had my peacoat altered at the tailors and it was $57 for taking in the waist and shortening the sleeves.

The material is rather thick and a bit more difficult to work with compared to a shirt
