Dressing as a primed sperm aside, I suspect Mr Allen's gear is quite decent stuff.
I watched his European jazz tour documentary last night and it struck me, baggy trousers aside, that his clobber seems to be of good provenance.
Walking through Paris he can be seen wearing a beautiful full-length coat; great slim fit and cut (to my amateur eye); no doubt bespoke in cashmere or some such. And throughout he wears nice stuff.
From watching his films he seems to dress the same in his real life.
I recall reading somewhere that he does indeed take great care in his clothing choices.
