Woodbury Post-Christmas Shopping Trip

Just dropped by Woodbury yesterday to do some Christmas shopping. Stopped at just a few stores, here's what I found:

RL: I dropped by here the first week this outlet opened and scored some PL suits. Since then it's evolved more into a womens' store. Lots of womens' stuff on racks for ~150 for a pair of wool pants. IMO though this outlet is best for both mens and womens tailored/high-end pieces. The wife scored a $4300 full-length heavyweight silk gown for $300. As far as the guys stuff, they have tons of pants for $110, although much more selection in the 28-30 and 36+ sizes (of which I'm neither). The best deals I saw were their BL cords, which could be had for $50 if they were in your size. Shirts were all $110, although they had a large selection. Cashmere sweaters were max 200. There was barely any outerwear and suits/jackets to speak of, presumably to the last SF frenzy.

NMLC: I hate this last call. The one closer to me is terrible, but I thought this one was even worse. couldn't find anything interesting.

Cucinelli: Decent sales, prices about what some of the folks who posted stuff (from Saks sale I presume) had them listed at. At a glance most pieces were marked 30% off, then the entire store was 40% off the lowest price

Loro Piana: Hoped to score some cashmere here-but it turned out actually being my wife's day. A lot of the guys stuff was on sale, but prices were still above what lance usually offers pieces at. Tough to buy then when it's final sale only. If you're looking to get some cashmere for your SO, this is the place to hit- Near the back right corner they had a great selection of some unbelievably soft cashmere coats that were 65 off; with discounts they were 3-4K down to 6-700. The back wall and another couple racks, however, are 80% off. Way more of a discount than I'd seen the last few times I had been in there. Bunch of really soft cashmere pieces, shirts and pants. The wife cleaned out a lot of the 42-44, but why not when the sweaters are $80-125 marked down from $700-1100, and $2k 100% cashmere pants are $200?

So aside from a couple pieces from RL, it was a bummer of a trip for me. I had a lot more luck at a couple random polo outlets I hit up on the way home, so it wasn't a complete bust
