I will spent one week in NYC (from July 3th till 9th), and I would like to shop to Woodbury Common but I've heard that during long week ends the mall will be crowded, what is in your experience the best day to go during the above mentioned days?. Thanks for your help

you either want to be the first one there, getting there about 30 minutes before the stores open or the last one, getting there about an hour or two before they close. Anything in between and you will spend as much time finding parking and fighting traffic as you will at the stores.

Try to avoid weekends.

Probably mid-week is best for you. Like a Wednesday. Traffic will be bad nonetheless, but not that bad.

Aim to arrive by noon to avoid major morning traffic (if you are driving yourself from NYC)

Woodbury has many stores, but really, for the savvy shopper, there's probably just two dozen stores to see.

Skip the stupid stuff that every outlet has

I'd narrow it down to even less than that. To the op: don't miss the chicken wing joint in the food court!
