Does anyone know I can pick up some? I met this shaving connoisseur on a train who showed me his antique ivory shaving brush. The bristle are made from wolverine hair. Does anyone know if these are still sold somewhere? Silvertip badger is still not soft enough for my ultra sensitive skin.

I suspect that you can only shave using wolverine hair during a full moon.

I have a hard time believing that silvertip isn't soft enough. If that's the case, just grow the damned beard, scraggly and pitiable as it might be.

Your best bet is going to be to spend a summer in Alaska hunting wolverines. Then you can commission something bespoke.

I've always been bothered by this, but how does Wolverine shave? Wouldn't the hair just regenerate immediately?

Well the hair isn't alive anymore, so maybe it doesn't regenerate.

It is desirable to have wolverine fur for the fringe of your parka hood in arctic conditions because the hair has the unique property of not allowing frost from your breath to collect on the parka fringe.

Wolverine fur is pretty expensive. Some years ago at either the NRA or SHOT show there was an outfit selling animal pelts. I bought a coonskin to use while playing with my dog for about $15 as I recall. They had a tanned wolverine pelt. It was $400*

I wonder if there have been any sighting of "Buddy" the California Wolverine, who seems to have wandered down from Idaho, this winter.

*Doing a little subsequent research on the Net, I discovered the price has doubled since then.
