Here's a pair of Wolverine 744 perf cap-toe boots - 189 out of a limited run of 1000, and made out of unlined Horween shell cordovan in the extremely rare color #449. Comparing this color side-by-side to Alden's Cigar shell, it has just a little bit more of a subtle mahogany/russet undertone.

These boots are first quality, and were sold with shoe trees, box and certificate (only the last two will be included, though). However, they've had a fair bit of use, so I'm selling them as-is. Major condition points will be described as below:

- I sent them to a cobbler to get Vibram sole protectors, but he ended up replacing both the heel and the sole with cheap Chinese heels. I've had another cobbler that I trust a lot more repair his shoddy work with a Vibram heel and a german Continental sole, both of which are pretty sturdy and should hold up quite well. They might use some more attention down the line but it's nothing major.

- The boots have been treated with Sno-Seal extensively, which left the leather overwaxed and cloudy. I've mostly remedied this with treatments of Saphir Renomat, However, the inner panels and tongue still have a little bit of matte clouding on them - I've tried to depict this in the pictures, but it's kind of hard to come out. in practice it isn't that noticeable considering these are the parts of the boots other people are least likely to see, and compared to the scuffing on my significantly glossier Alden shells I think it's pretty tolerable.

- There are no major cuts, scratches or gouges in the shell - it gets minor scuffs easily more than my other shell shoes/boots, I find, but they can easily be brushed out. The copper eyelets have a little verdigris on them but it doesn't cling to the metal and could be easily removed with a Q-tip. Personally, I don't mind it since it adds character.

Shipping to CONUS will run $45, which is the best I can do for boots this size (and I assure you I definitely won't be making anything near to a profit on that cost).

I recently got a pair of cigar Indys and I'm not wearing these as much as I should be, so I'm looking to put the proceeds from this towards a #8 boot.

Ah. No offense, but you may want to drop your price. Few people are going to be willing to pay that much for a pair of abused 744s

Then they are more than welcome to go spend close to double the price and buy a new one, if they can find one.
