These are much glossier than they are out-of-the-box.

As a reminder, these have SnoSeal under Kiwi.

Here's them sitting on my shoe rack:

Thanks guys! It seemed easier to get the shine up AFTER the SnoSeal, if you can believe it.

I like the lace pattern you used. What is the name of that style?

Hi guys I recent purchases a pair of 403 alden Indus and have tried the sno seal technique but the sno seal doesn't seem to want to absorb even when heated with a hair dryer is this be caused the leather is full or not heating them enough? How much should snoseal should be left once the heating has taken place as the boots are really waxy like a whole coat of wax? Any help would be appreciated!

    Put them in the oven.

My boots sucked up the sno-seal and anything remaining on the surface I wiped/brushed up.

Oh boy! Mario TEMPERATURE!!! Don't forget at what temperature you did yours at. I can see it now. Oven preheat to 400, bake for 3 hours. OOOOOOoooops!

    Lol.

The lowest my oven goes is 175; but oven temperatures are usually off by a good 15%.

I would do 125 to 175 - whatever lowest is.

    For 8 to 10 minutes.

    Pull it out.

Slather it up quickly and generously.

Cranes: any idea why my 1K's are stiffer and less supple than the 1K's I saw/felt in Nordstrom's the other day? Sno-Seal? Too much leather product? Not enough wear? Only talking about my CXL's here, not the 721's.

I'm not sure Mario. My CXLs are the same way. I'm wondering if has to do with the aging process. Mine are certainly well conditioned but perhaps I need to oil them a bit more frequently.

Wolverine got it right with both of those make ups but this years cap toe in the dark brown/cigar shade is a home run! Anyone have a pair that's got some wear on 'em?

My gf got me some Saphir Reno for the holidays; loving the luster it creates.

My 744's have some wear to say the least, been rotating them with my RW 9011's every evening when I get home from work and am taking the 744's with me to Az. tomorrow for a week. Mario gave me grieve about the gloss on them but Reno and Alden Defender does that. I will post a picture later in the week when I get some time in Phoenix but when new and I brushed the hell out of them:

You got a good girl... [IMG]
Reno does a hell of a job on CXL also BTW.
