The pic/ boot looks authentic to me... but, if Crane's casting doubt (rather than not saying anything), then I'm not sure what to believe.

Was thinking that the green colour would darken a fair bit to be a kind of black-but-dark-green boot, which in my mind I have warmed to.
Might just oil and/ or wax them to darken if Im not happy.

You guys think going up half a size should be enough for an insole addition?

Exactly. Let's stop with the boy scout shit.

What's more likely to hurt sales? Leaked photos or making your boots green?

I don't see how someone would get a hold of a one-off Wolverine boot. It has to be the production model I would think.

I'm going to call a spade a spade. What are you doing here? Promoting your new found buddy? He's been banned here for his antics. What kind of deal did he cut you for coming here and chatting him up? Do you know what complicit and duplicit mean? You're both.

Did your buddy bother to tell you that he's on thin ice with Wolverine? What part of Wolverine corporate reads this thread don't you understand?

Stupid is as stupid does. Were you stupid enough to pay for the boots already?

    Let's not.

That's all find and dandy except this guy is undermining everything Wolverine is doing with these boots. Why don't you ask the guys at Leffot how they feel about this? I bet they're pissed.... and laughing at the same time. Perhaps you would understand it better if you had a shit load of your own money tied up in stock and followed your dealer agreement. It's never a good time when some renegade asshole comes around and fucks up all of your advertising conceptuals/plans along with flagrantly violating MAP/MSRP. policy.

At best it's a pre production model.

You're over-reacting. If I was Wolverine, I'd be happy some hardcore shoe nerds care enough about their product to sit around all day and discuss them. If the boots aren't actually green, I'm going to purchase a pair. Just like if I'd never seem some blurry photo. Calm down bro, it's not the end of the world! You could reasonably make an argument that leaks are good... they get people talking. In this case, maybe not since the leather looks like someone hurled pea soup on it. LOL

Come on man. You have got to be too old to be making insults and wild accusations towards someone you do not know. Not only is it immature, but it is bad for business. But who am I to tell you that.

Also, I do not know the guy. Also I would not be surprised if Wolverine is purposely letting him release pictures of the shoe to stir up just this type of conversation about it. But what I do know is that him releasing pictures of a freakin' shoe, is no where near as bad as what you are doing. Making something out of nothing. Let Wolverine handle it. End of discussion.

Yes I did buy the boots. Based on Wolverine's past LTD and pictures of what I believe to be the next LTD, I am fairly confident that I will be happy with my purchase. Why would you call someone stupid for buying a product that you will be selling? Again, bad for business.

Just calm down man and live YOUR life. Don't worry about Wolverine or another vendors business. It ain't that serious.

Below I have included a few pics of my 721's after a few months of use. these have never been waterproofed or conditioned. Photos were taken after 2 or 3 minutes of buffing with a soft cotton cloth.

LOL! More spam. I think I'm going to give Fok a call and have this thread locked for a few months.

Why are people freakn out. I just met the guy, and purchased a pair of 721's from him. Who is this Crane guy getting all mad about. I live near his store, and I found him of the Wolverine store locator. So I don't see why people's reactions are so full of curse words. Sorry for getting excited about a shoe. Anyways just wanted to say that he also offer's free beer, and a lounge area. Its pretty cool, never been to a store where I've been catered to like that.

I couldn't care less if he serves beer with or without a liquor license. It's pretty much common knowledge that this thread has been used directly or indirectly for spam by this guy. It's not like it's the number one thread on the internet about Wolverine's cordovan boots or anything like that. LOL! BTW you said you purchased 721s so why are going on about the 744s and talking about the pic you hijacked off his FB page? What's the title of this thread?

The title of this thread is, "
Wolverine 721LTD Shell Cordovan 1000 Mile Boot Review "

Which I purchased, and loved. While I was there he was telling me of the 744, which I really want also. And was showing me pics of the 744( the cap toe green color will go very nicely with cuffed selvedge jeans). I originally posted because he said they don't ship out till September 1st, but if I can get a pair earlier I will and wanted any 411 on anyone else who might get them sooner. I am originally a sneaker freak turned boot freak. I have a massive collection, and just love shoes, and boots. I believe he is getting 100 pairs, so I can't imagine to many places carrying them if they are making only 1000.

So why are we talking about the 744 again? I'll give you some advice. If you started a thread on this board with the first post you made you wouldn't be posting right now. Did you see how fast your post got pulled from this thread? The owners of the board don't take kindly to spam. You asked who is this guy Crane? Well that's an easy one to answer. We're affiliate vendors on this site and have spent a boatload of money to advertise and promote ourselves here. It's really a shame because this thread really helped a lot of people out over the last year and half or so. Now it's becoming a playground for spammers more than anything else. I've contacted Fok, who owns this place, and have requested that this thread be cleaned up and locked down for a while.

I told myself I wouldn't be spending any more money on shoes until my current boots are worn to shreds, guess I was wrong.
