Thanks for posting your impressions! They seem like a fine option for the money, and something that would fit my foot-type well.

Today arrived my pair of Wolverine 1000 Mile boots. After a walk of two miles the fit is good and I like the Stead Company leather.

I've been wearing this pair often and ordered a second pair of 1000 Mile boots. The new pair is Horween CXL and I am hoping the fit will be the same as the Stead Company roughout.

For length fit, does your pair of Palmer Chukka boots seem a bit shorter than your pair of Evans 1000 Mile boots ?

I've been wearing this pair often and ordered a second pair of 1000 Mile boots. The new pair is Horween CXL and I am hoping the fit will be the same as the Stead Company roughout.

Here are some photos I took of my Havana Brown color CXL 1000 Mile boots a month ago, when they were brand new. The fit of the boots is essentially the same as my first pair of 1000 Mile boots (Stead Company roughout leather).

2 pairs or 1000 Mile converted to leather wedge soles by Coakleys of London Ontario.

I find wedge soles to be very comfortable and supportive for my feet.

My third pair of Wolverine 1000 Mile and in 8eee which I believe is my size. Gary Coakley rebuilt with a leather wedge.

Need some fit advice… I wear Allen Edmonds Higgins Mill/Patton (1757 last) 9D and Park Avenue (65 last) 9E. Do you think I’d be alright for 1000 miles in 8.5D? More concerned about the length than the width.
