Great looking pair of boots that appear to be an excellent fit.
Thank you, they really have an excellent fit, somehow snugger than other 1000 Mile that I own in the same size.

OK, looking at another pair of 1000 mile boots, the 9D I had didn't fit exactly right, wear an 8.5D in Alden TB and Barrie Last. The "chat" function on Wolverine site told me that they have no info as to how their boots would compare to other companies lasts....WTF? I want to get a pair, but if even the company can't give me direction....may just have to buy more Aldens.

What was off about the 9D 1000 Mile boots you had ? For what it's worth, my son has a pair of 1000 Mile boots and Indy 405 boots, both size 10.5D and proper fitting for him. My guess is that your Indy Truebalance size 8.5D should be the same 8.5D for 1000 Mile.

Have you tried on a pair of 8.5D 1000 Mile boots ?
No where to do that near where I live, so the answer is no I haven't. Local store that sells wolverine, told me, rudely "we don't sell fashion boots, just real work boots, for people who work" Won't go back to that store, even if they started stocking 1K's.

www.wolverine.com has a 20% off promotion for 1000 Mile boots right now. Wolverine provides return shipping label. Exchanges are free and returns for credit are a $5 charge. I've never worn 1000 Mile boots but did order a pair of the Stead rough out leather 1000 mile boots. If they fit, great, if not $5 charge.

I own the Original (suede), Duvall and Evans (CMXL), and Palmer (cowhide) Wolverine 1000 Mile boots. In all cases, I had to downsize from 7.5 US to 7 US for a similar fit, even though It's not exactly the same as it changes a bit depending on the used material. For my slim and low instep feet, the suede has a snug fit, with the others, I have to use thicker socks.

The BLVD line seems like a good deal, especially right now with some of the discounts they have been running.

I just bought a pair of Chelsea boots of their BLVD range with a highly reduced price, just to try that line. Their "Military" waxed suede seems to be a good option to be used in nasty weather. I got them in the same size as my 1000 Mile boots.

Slip on style footwear can be useful ! Once you've received the boots please report back about the fit. I am considering buying a pair.

My Wolverine BLVD Chelsea boots just arrived after a long international trip, as I don’t live in the USA.

First impressions: better than expected at the price paid. Attractive packaging, a bigger box than the one of my 1000 Mile, even though they do not include travel bags or the piece of cloth that comes with their more expensive brothers. Solid construction without noticeable flaws, nice rough-out leather that might last a long time, slim rubber soles with a Wolverine design, quite happy with my purchase.

Fit-wise, I bought the same size as my 1000 Mile, half less than my dress shoes, one size less than my Adidas sneakers. For my slim, low volume and instep feet, they have a very good fit, length is correct and width is somehow snug, that will stretch after some use.

They are slimmer at the toes and waist than the 1000 Mile, the instep is tight, perfect for a non-laced pair of boots as they don't create any heel slippage. However, if you have wide feet, with a high arch and instep, probably would be better not to downsize as they might be too tight and uncomfortable.

Now I have to use them and see how they behave in real life. I will post some pics of their maiden voyage. Hope that this first impression might be helpful.
