So many problems with these boots. Glad I didn't buy them (and even more glad they don't come in an EE)

Problems like what? The 2 holes missing stitching?

The dog-bitten one didn't come that way :p

    Seriously, like what problems?

I have a black pair that have been through hell and are still ticking.

Making judgement calls based on an Internet forum, when you haven't even handled a pair, is pretty dumb.

Plus most of this thread is pretty positive.

I mean, go check out the dayton thread.

I ordered a pair of 1k milers before that had some bad stitching, returned them and didn't order again because the fit wasn't quite right for my feet. Even with that though, I have a pretty good opinion of these boots. I think they are well built for the price and while they aren't flawless all the time, they are pretty good most of the time I think. Certainly better than Dayton and wouldn't surprise me if they were better than Alden too (with whom I have much more experience). Anytime you're dealing with "handmade" items that are done in large quantities you are going to have some flaws slip by....it's a side effect of having human hands involved. Overall they do a pretty good job of catching these most of the time, but sure a few slip through. No big deal as long as the companies stands behind it when this does happen, which I believe Wolverine will do.

Making judgements based on a post I made is also dumb. I have handled a pair.

So to sum up: you don't have a pair, but you've only handled a pair? :teach:

I've had nothing but great things to say about my 1000 mile boots. The size runs a little large, at least for me. I wear a 10 normally and had to go down to 9.5. and probably could have gone to 9 but, I wear insoles since im on my feet a lot.

He's free to not care for them if that's how he feels, no problem!

So you're saying I should buy a pair to see if they are worth the price or not? No thanks.
