Look no further than the Bean Boot sock from LL Bean. Made in USA, very well made and a high wool content:

Glad I'm not the only one confused by that.

Got my Obeanuf's in the mail at work just now! $7 off ebay plus $3 shipping for the 4oz. Showed up in Toronto after only like 5 days since I ordered it. Maybe 6.

Someone linked it a page or so back.

My boots are now in customs clearance in Canada from NJ. Should be here by tomorrow *fingers crossed.* Can't wait to get the 1k's and apply this goop.

    Wet-socks Free in 2012!

Where did you get your boots?

I was too scared of duties so I picked up my pair of red wings in buffalo

I'm a bit concerned about the difference between the creases between the left and right shoes on my new 1000 Mile oxfords from Orvis. The left shoe creases are noticeably larger than the right, which has much finer and therefore less noticeable creases. My 1000 mile boot creases look a lot more like the left shoe - ie barely noticeable.. I do have a slightly shorter left than right foot, but I'm not sure that's the cause of this. Could the leather on each shoe just be slightly different? Maybe the right shoe is of a poorer quality? I know it's a minor thing, but it bothers me since these are oxfords rather than boots. I'm also worried they could develop into cracks in time...

This is after just 1 wear by the way - far too much creasing IMO.

That isn't uncommon, especially with Chromexcel leather. I've seen it on Aldens, Quoddys, and others using that and other leathers. I have a similar thing on some Chippewa boots I have as well. I think it's just differences in the hides and it may be one of those things that can't be know until the creases actually happen. Since nobody wants to buy pre-creased boots then it may be something the mfg. can't really check for. I don't know...just theorizing here. But it's not uncommon at all, especially with CXL in my experience.

That looks regular maybe he's been looking at cordo too much where the creases look pretty

by the way....any fit pics with those oxfords that show the whole shoe? I really like the look of those shoes and have been thinking of getting a pair eventually.

Adding reference of some old Wolverine 1000 Mile boots. I'm guessing these are from the 1940's or 50's. Looks like they used to have 4 speed hooks instead of 3.

I can't help with fit pics but I posted a while back that I saw several 1K models at a DSW in Boston over thanksgiving weekend. Here's the post from a few weeks ago.
