You can use it on leather items other than shoes and boots, same as LP, Lexol, MPB, etc, etc.

Also available in gallon containers for those with a lot of leather in their life :butbut:

Yeah, that's it -- Horween and VSC are conspiring to corner the market in leather production and care. WTF is wrong with everyone on this thread? I can't believe people are seriously taking time out of their day to argue the chemistry of fucking boot oil. Just use whatever the fuck you want to care for your boots. I personally don't give a shit if they last you a week or 30 years. Just let it the fuck go and post some pictures so this thread can go back to being just ok.

So, why not alter the title of the link to be more meaningful - 'A cheap place to buy VSC in bulk' or similar ?

The difference is the motive behind a vendor offering advice to customers versus some random dude's quest to be the authority on a specific model of boot.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this thread is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Maybe show us the VSC treatment, and before/after, how to apply, etc? Contribute something? Genuinely interested.

You're part of the problem. You attempt to be funny every one of your replies, but you fail miserably. I'm not interested in how cute you think you are. Just cut the shit and let's get back to something productive.

I stayed out of this back and forth bullshit until I couldn't take it anymore. I've tried once to intervene. You instead take it upon yourself to defend Cranes in every post like he's your high school crush. Honestly it's downright weird to the point of being creepy.

I'll rejoin the thread when it's ACTUALLY about 1000K boots.

Oh this is going to get good. :lurk:

I'm wearing a new pair of Latham rough out desert boots.

My Morley's seem bigger than my original. Wish they made 12.5 1Ks.

    Or is it 1000Ks?

Try answering what size should I get about 900 times. Mario isn't defending me dude. He's pointing out some obvious facts. With a little looking you might figure a few things out.

All I know is it's coming off creepy...

I just don't know why people get so bent out of shape about answering questions. It's retail for God sake - as in, customer service. From reading this thread you would think it's a crime against humanity to have a differing opinion on leather care.

    Does AE make those Lathams?
I mean, why is Crane's supposedly the "authority" on 1ks?

Yeah, let's trust a retailer that said weatherproofed leather and waxed canvas having the same breatheability as GoreTex. LOL.

    Sigh...

i never said that and never would.

They are a 360 welt so if the 360 270 welt info is correct they would be made by AE.

Definitely an interesting new-ish addition to the line. I wish they would stop burnishing their roughout offerings

Speaking of, does anyone have any idea why the Krause model costs so much?

Luckily it's something he can mask with some dubbin, though that look isn't for everyone. Also think it'd look much better with round waxed laces. Not a fan of flat laces on chukka boots.

Regarding the Krause, it's interesting this picture made the cut for the website:
