1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Wait, you smell that?
There's nothing wrong with the stitching, especially with a nice pair of raw denims. I'm only saying that since I picked up a pair of the Addisons.

I also think these look great. The styling keeps them from looking too rugged -- just a touch of class. I'm thinking about grabbing a pair in tan...

And for those complaining about the wingtip style and stitching, these are straight from the archives. Not all work boots need to look the same and not all of them looked the same back in the day:

And just to drive this point home, here's a (Montgomery Ward's, I think) catalog from the 1930's. Notice the wingtip workboot style.

The double stitching and the strange pattern that it has is a turn off.

    +1

I really like these - but I'd like to see some pictures of boots in the actual flesh, so to speak, rather than the usual images from Wolverine or whoever is selling them. People who own them - post them pics, please!

I ordered a pair from Revolve and about one week later, finally received them in the mail. I just took them to the cobbler's the other day to get Topy put on the soles; I'll be picking them up on Friday and I can hardly wait! These boots look sick! In fact, even better than they appeared on any site/blog. The brown leather has such an incredibly rich color and texture, which I'm certain will only look better with time and wear. I can only imagine how amazing the patina will be on these. I was somewhat anxious about ordering them online because I didn't know what to expect as far as sizing was concerned. I kept reading: "GO DOWN 1/2 A SIZE!" and "GO DOWN A FULL SIZE!"; I typically wear an 11 US/44 UK (dress shoes, Clarks) and have gotten away with a 10.5 US in my Chucks, but I decided to go with a 10 US (D) -- basically, one FULL size down, in the 1000 Mile's and they fit perfectly! My feet are a little wider too, and any tightness I feel on the side isn't anything unusual; I've had to go through this break-in process with every other pair of shoes I own. No sweat. My only complaint is that the tongue on the right boot is slightly askew, but really, it wouldn't be noticeable to anybody but me... probably because of my OCD. Other than that, the craftsmanship seems top-notch! Leather quality: impeccable. And surprisingly, these boots are fairly slim, so you may even be able to dress them up with a slick tweed three-piece suit. Anyway, I decided to post a few pictures of the boots, straight outta the box! I'll try to post new pictures of their break-in process periodically. http://flic.kr/p/9dubCU http://flic.kr/p/9drcTn http://flic.kr/p/9duh55 http://flic.kr/p/9drddn http://flic.kr/p/9duiw3 http://flic.kr/p/9duiXm http://flic.kr/p/9drfdM http://flic.kr/p/9dukbS http://flic.kr/p/9dukCQ *I just created my Flickr account; I'm assuming this is why the photos aren't loading. I'm trying to fix this...

^ would be better if you posted your photos with image tags - type "[IMG]" after (without the double-quotes).

I've been trying that but it doesn't seem to work. My settings on Flikr are set to "Public" as well, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Any ideas?

Yes, the internet is banishing you for putting topy's on your Wolverine boots.

The interweb gods are exercising divine retribution?

Yeah, I know it may be some sort of fashion faux paux, but I live between two of the harshest climates in North America; Vancouver (Not really harsh, but definitely one of the rainiest cities in the world) and Edmonton (with its 7 month winters. You know that crazy snow storm NYC had a few weeks back? That's nothing unusual here. We had the same blizzard conditions for 2 weeks straight, only the temperatures hovered at a consistent -25°C/-13°F the entire time.) My point is: leather sole shoes would not last long; I know, I own a few pairs.

We had the same thing like yesterday. Just get cammando soles, or dianites on them.

H20 - get those pics working, I'd love to see them!

Where is the best place to get these without paying full retail? Revolve seems to always have active coupon codes, but they are always out of stock of the size I need.

I just got my Addison's yesterday from Leffot. Here are a few pics of them. I really like the color they need a couple more miles to break in.

nice boots... dig those laces... price wise.. better than the ALDENS and TRICKERS... that should be your next project...

Sorry guys, I still can't get the IMG tags to work properly. What a bitch. For now, you should be able to just click on the links I provided and they'll take you to my photo stream on Flickr.

I picked my boots up from the cobbler today, and even with the Topy on, they look handsome as hell! Even the guys at the cobbler's told me they were discussing the boot earlier in the day and were impressed with their craftsmanship/aesthetic.

Anyway, I just put some Red Wing All-Natural Conditioner (exact same product as Montana's Pitch Blend Leather Conditioner) on 'em tonight, and it really brought out the cherry tones in the leather. Honestly, they look even better than they did out of the box. I'll try to get some more pictures of them up over the weekend.
