Well.... the snow plow just went by my house. So I guess that means it's officially winter where I am.

Anyone else pumped? The skiing, skating, and beautiful nights all make me love this season.

This was my area a couple years ago:

Now, all I have currently is a couple inches, but one can hope for a repeat.

Hell no.

NYC snow, while initially 'ohh la la' status, turns into complete **** within a few days.

Likewise. The British used to run the world, now they are utterly flummoxed by a few millimetres of snow. Our transport systems grind to an embarrassing, unseemly halt. Indignation and frustration ensue as we are reminded of why we've fallen to the status of such a pitiful nonentity.

Worst of all, snow seriously limits my choice of footwear; and that, as they say, is just not cricket.
