I'm a 27 year old guy living in NYC, looking to up my style a bit.

I've been searching for a pair of stylish boots to wear in NYC in the snow/rain that I can wear with jeans/joggers/chinos and maybe even to work but really can't find what I'm looking for.

I don't love the idea of wearing boots to walk to work and then changing my shoes there so if there's something versatile enough out there that'd be ideal.

If there isn't something really like that, then what would be good for work (business casual, trading desk) and what would be good for jeans/joggers/chinos?

Thanks for the help

Wolverine 1000 mile has a few models that could fit your description. Oak Street Bootmakers is another option but more expensive.

1000 miles seem a bit chunky in the toe to dress up at all no?

On a side note of dressier boots. I'm also looking to add a cap toe/wing tip black and brown boots for work and going out socially.

I have found a couple of Allen Edmonds and To Boot New York boots that look good but I've also seen boots from Meermin and have considered Thursday that look great.

How do Meermin/Thursday compare in quality to an Allen Edmond or To Boot NY?

Wolverine 1000 mile has other models with a less prominent toe than the 1000 mile boot.

Meermin is a good option too. I think quality is on par with AE, To boot NY is of inferior quality

I like the jfitzpatrick snoqualmie boots quite a lot. At the current sales price they are a steal.

It all depends on how much you are out in the elements. If you're outside in wet conditions (snow/rain) I would NOT get anything with a leather sole. Once it gets soaked, it takes a long time to dry out. Additionally, if you're in salted sidewalks and such - that salt plays havoc on leather uppers. I have several pairs of boots - Whites, AE Daltons, Alden Indys and AE Higgins Mills. If I'm spending a lot of time out, I'll wear the Whites semi-dress because of the full leather sole. But, in all honesty, when I'm going to work I just use a pair of swims overshoes on top of my work shoes. I get the benefit of quality shoes without switching for commute/office. And the swims protect the soles and uppers.

Red Wings. Beckman or Iron Rangers.
Alden indys.
Crockett and Jones islay boots are probably my favorites out of the boots I own. Awesome and get a lot of compliments but leather sole.
