mods lock this thread i can't deal with anymore americana shit

it's not fucking hard to find "rugged" looking winter boots, the entire point of this thread was to avoid stuff like that

LOL, I know you meant well by starting this thread in your quest to find some cool boots. It did yield a few nice examples but the truth of the matter is that if you can afford stylish footwear... you probably don't do much walking in the snow. The path this thread took was predictable with some people even posting boots that looked like they're sold at hardware stores (eg. Sorels).

I'm gonna have to sing praises here. That Bison Leather is SUPPLE... I've been trying to decide between these and the Waxed Canvas ones... Oh and here's to Americana. [IMG]

^welcome, you will fit right in here

i hear jcrew is doing fine stuff these days that will go with your redwing obsession along with LL Bean and other authentic rugged wear

Thanks my good man. Even for working at the factor outlet (more basic than retail), it's clear the designs are desired right now. Retail design quality just blows me away, but I digress..

[IMG][/SPOILER] Why are these priced higher? Been tempted to get on some martens, especially after seeing the Dr Marten x Raf collab but it just seems too chunky? i.e. toe box and sole

All boots can be had for 20% off so right under $200, some even close to $100

You are seriously killing me! I have been looking for those in my size for years now and can't find them anywhere! I am guessing you bought them from the guy on Ebay? He initally claimed to have them in my size, got me excited about getting them, then told me that was an error in his listing! I am happy that someone will get to enjoy them in their size and am even more determined, now, to get a pair myself. Very nice.

Yes, got em from the Ebay guy. I was lucky with the size. He suggested a half size smaller than normal and he was right.

If you search, you will see that Santoni now makes a newer but similar style. They look great but I don't know what the chances are of getting them at a discount yet.

No offense taken. Maybe you're lucky enough to have incredible infrastructure in your city. The lack of examples in this thread speaks volumes in more ways than one though.
