had to re-learn how to walk on these armour kicks. finally, after 2 weeks wear, they finally broke in & relented to its new master. 'just got them weather proofed & ready for NYC winter.

I just had these delivered today from Oki-ni:

Paraboot Avoriaz in Red. Color is more like black cherry (like the redwing GTs). They are on sale right now but sizes are limited.

just curious, what sort of pants do you wear those with?

I'm getting some Caribous for mucking around in the snow/blizzards, still looking for some normal winter boots that are actually warm.

A few good recs in this thread but a lot of them seem like they don't have nearly enough insulation.

    I hate cold toes. [IMG]

There was a post about wearing these with dressier pants in the MC forum a few weeks back. Here is a pic from the post:

I probably wouldn't go that route...i just plan on wearing these with jeans/casual pants.

Most of these winter type boots are ugly. Just get some nice refined looking leather boots in the height you like and wear overshoes when it's wet.

What did you do to treat those for winter wear? I have a pair of roughouts myself and have been thinking about keeping them as is or doing something to them for winter use and making them my go-to winter boots.

These look sweet. I only see them available in black though. I'd definitely like the brown. Are they really warm?
