I sized down 1 from a 30 to a 29 in the straight fit raws, but I've seen other people say TTS. They've stretched to the point that I need to wear a belt to keep them up, but the legs would be too slim on a 28. The leg opening on the slim fit is small enough that I couldn't get my size US 12 foot through the hem, but eyeballing the waist it looked like it measured about the same.

FWIW, I have an excessive amount of raw indigo denim, but these are pretty much my go-to jeans on a day-to-day basis.

Just curious, what pieces are you seeing 20+% increases? I can't remember prices aside from the oxfords I buy every season and comparing the wool mac I picked up 2 years ago to this season's. It's way below 10% for those.

@notwithit Thank you! At about 5'11 and 145 give or take a few do you think a 29 would work for me as well? I'd be sizing down 1 like you.

Probably, unless you have particularly large legs. There's an off chance you could go with a 28, but they would likely be a struggle at first and possibly too slim in the legs to be worth the effort.

Must be one whopper of a profit margin when you look at how low the sale prices get.

Don't they manufacture too? I suppose that helps the margins.

I have the Stutterheim Raincoat in Green.
    Best $300 I ever spent.

In Vancouver, this jacket is a must!
Especially when you have to walk the kilometer to find the W+H store ;)

So has anybody tried on or even handled in person the new Mac Coats?
Any thoughts on fabric, fit, construction etc?
Some places still have my size and I'm still considering it as the only other comparable pieces I'm interested in are a similar price range anyway.

I started lusting after the plaid Mac coat so I went to the store to check out. For a $1,000 coat, I was expecting a heck of a lot more. The fit was blah, it felt a bit thin... I'm glad though, saved me a mortgage payment.

    Damn, thanks.
Might have to go with Han Kjobenhavn instead then.
