At JFK, I saw this older gentleman (silver hair, but appeared to be very good physical condition) wearing a wing collar shirt opened at the top, a white/cream peak collar, nicely tailored w/ waist suppression jacket and dark flat front pants/jeans which (may have been velvet). Looked pretty good, and carried himself confidently.

Any thoughts on wing collar shirts sans ties?

It was quite the avant-garde look in the late 1970's, favored by rockers and such.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
