I'm having a little xmas gathering, at which steaks and lamb chops will be served, and I wanted to serve a fairly nice cabernet, can you guys recommend something from this list? I wanted to keep the price per bottle below about $100 or so because I'm going to serve quite a few bottles (20 or so people) These are some of the stuff I have in case + quantity in my current collection I was considering. I was looking for something that wasn't too young to currently drink. 99 Penfolds Bin 707 CS 00 Beaulieu Georges Latour Private Reserve CS 00 Cakebread Benchland Select 00 Cakebread Three Sisters 01 Cakebread Vine Hill Ranch 99 ZD Reserve CS 01 ZD Reserve CS I was thinking about the Beaulieu, but wonder if it's too young now... I know the B707 could sit for 2-3 more years at least.
