had better luck thifting today that last week, when i bought a Sero that was not the Sero of old.

This find was a Willis & Geiger sports shirt, a fine, open-weave cotton baby in a mock Madras plaid.

I have (and treausre) a genuine W&G safari jacket. But didn't know the fellows did shirts.

Do i have the real thing?

They had a catalog as recently as 1995, so no reason why there shouldn't still be shirts floating around.

Depending on which W&G iteration, it may not be faux madras. As recently as the last (Lands' End owned W&G) catalogues of circa 1998, one thinks W&G emphasized the genuineness of their madras. The stitches per inch on the '80s era madras shirts were somewhat parsimonious and the colors blandly woodsy.

As recently as last summer, Lands End sold W&G shirts through the Lands End catalog.
