For New Year's Eve only. Christmas is more casual - at home unwrapping presents and then to a friends house for dinner!

Happy Holidays!

X-mas in Germany, at my sister´s place outside München. Thick green cord pants, and a dark grey "roughly woven" casual shirt (by Massimo Dutti). Maybe a woolen sweater. On the feet, thick wool socks, woven by my mother, and my brother-in-laws grey slippers. Once the fire in the fire-place and the vodka we´ll have with the herring have warmed me up, I´ll take the sweater off.
Merry X-mas to all of you!
(No tuxedo on new years eve either; I have never worn a tuxedo, actually, I was never invited to any event on which a tuxedo would have looked "appropriate"; neither do I expect to be invited to any such a event in the next couple of years. In any case, should I need to acquire a tuxedo, I guess I would try to get a "midnight-blue" one; all these black tuxedos look boring to me, but it may just be due to my "untrained eye").

It could be No for both, but right now the plan is a fancy dress (oh, not in the British meaning of costumes) party in Philly for NYE. But we may ditch that for the comforts of home.
