I started looking for a style to aim for when I go back to college in the fall and I have always liked William Schuester's looks and was wondering what you guys think of this: SLIDESHOW <- (almost every Will Schuester outfit ) Many of these outfits are actually from Brooks Brothers, of which I am a fan, which has driven me to liking it more. For example:

TIE - SHIRT - JEANS - BELT I have found that most people at college still wear jeans and t-shirts so this style is supposed to stand out while still staying low key. So what do you guys think?

don't imitate this. Don't be the one business casual guy who always tries to use his ugly brooks bros gear to stand out. This guy's look is strategically designed to get hopeless 40 year old suburban women wet. Avoid it in every particular.

Why would you want to look like a schoolteacher?
BB is fine for staples and some shoes, but damn.

if you wear a tie to class at college you are going to look like a pretentious dbag.

Wait. Did you actually go through all of these episodes and screenshot photos for this slideshow? To answer your question though, the tie + jeans thing gets old fast. I guess you can maybe borrow a cardigan or two.

i looked through your slideshow and this character dresses like someone who won a $1,000 shopping spree at Banana Republic. ie, he looks bad; this isn't a man who ought to be emulated

also, you don't wear a tie to college classes b/c it's incredibly pompous. it doesn't matter how well you think you can 'pull it off'; even at the most elite schools in the nation you'll be the only one doing it, and it attracts negative attention

if you're still in ug, ties are only for social outings and work-related things
