Hello I'm about to send off a 12yr old pair of dress shoes for a resole. The uppers are in great shape but the soles are toast (flimsy). Anyhow I've noticed they have gotten looser over the past couple years. So I'm wondering (hoping) that a fresh sole and cork bed will stiffen the base and hold the shoe better. Thus creating a better fit. Any opinions on this theory?
At the risk of being flogged, the shoes are Gucci (Sergio Rossi) beveled waist jobbers. Thanks
