I'm a 16 year old guy and i'm 5'4.
Is there any chance that i'll grow more?
My mother is 5'8.
My dad was 5'3 at 16, but eventually ended up at 6'1.
So i think thats where i got it from.
According to the doctor, i will be about 5'9, But i think i'm gonna be even shorter or not grow at all anymore.
Also my face doenst even look 12.
Here is a 16 year old me:

(Yes i really am 16)
Any way i can boost my growth or is it just hormones and see what i get?

Some people finish late. I was 5'7" when I finished high school, and I grew to 6'1" in my first two years of college. That sucked. Not only were my pants always too short, this meant bumping my head, knees, and elbows into everything constantly because every time I adjusted to my reach and height, I was a bit bigger. Showing ID was hilarious as well: "Are you sure this is yours? It says this guy is 5'7"!)

I'll tell you my family's half-assed theory on what happened. Until I was 18, I'd never eaten a meal away from home. In college, living on processed food from fast food joints and campus cafeterias, they think I ingested all the chemicals and hormones in mass-produced food and that boosted my growth.

Personally, I'd rather have stopped at 5'10" or so - I ride motorcycles and drive sports cars and everything seems geared for that height. Also, I'm a long distance runner and growing taller ruined my biomechanics for that.

Take heart, a lot of guys shoot up in their late teens. My stepson certainly did. Even if you're 5'9", that's still a decent height for a man. Most men want to be tall or taller, but I believe over 6'4" height starts to become a handicap in fitting in cars and beds and buying good-fitting clothes, and if you're more than 6'6", it can be a real "handicap" unless you're a dab hand with a basketball.

'Decent height' - seriously? I'm 5'5", always looked younger than I am, and my life has been fine, in fact much better than fine. We really shouldn't encourage the idea that there's something wrong with you if you aren't above the statistical norm... we should be encouraging people to be happy with whatever they are and work with it (and that's very much true in terms of style), not least because then we'll be more genuinely confident and more understanding of others, and generally better people - which is far more important than meeting some arbitrary physical ideal.

So to the OP: you may get a lot taller, a bit taller or not much taller. But getting obsessive about how tall you will be worse than any of those situations. Develop your character, develop your skills, concentrate on being an interesting and worthwhile person - that's my advice.

^My apologies if I seemed to imply that there is anything "indecent" about being shorter than 5'9". Lots of great men have been shorter than that. I just finished reading a book about William Walker--the "gray eyed Man of Destiny--who led forces of the wildest, toughest gunfighters in California in filibustering adventures in Mexico and Nicaragua. Obviously a charismatic leader, he was all of 5'2".

Three of the best and dearest friends I've ever had were around 5'7". One has gone into the Great Beyond. The other two are alive and well but shrinking, as am I. However, they all wished they had been taller.

I have never underestimated a man because of his size. I've always known there are plenty of tough little guys who could kick ******!

A little story for you: Many years ago I attended (as a spectator) a powerlifting championship. Although I was a pretty big, strong guy at the time--6'3" and about 230--there were plenty of men present who were far more imposing than I. Amidst all of them was this little skinny guy who looked very out of place among these massive men. Suddenly I realized who he was--the reigning flyweight powerlifting champion of the world. He was just about as strong as I was at twice his weight.
