Will flat ironing short hair on a regular basis make me bald?

I have pretty wavy hair and even almost a loose curl when I begin to grow it out. I want to achieve that messy spiky look but with my hair type I find I have to flat iron my hair at least once a day. Sometimes I have to do it again in the evening since I get dirty from practice in the afternoon and I'd like to go out that evening. My main question is: Will flat ironing my hair so much be bad for my hair even if its kept quite short-almost medium? Thanks guys

I did it for a while back in college because I have a nasty cowlick when my hair is anything but short. I got lazy sometimes and didnt wait for my hair to dry all the way before I did it and fried my hair a few times and some of it broke off. I stopped doing it and it all grew back.

I'd be more worried about burning your scalp. That can't help hair growth.

Well for the record, I condition my hair everyday to try to keep my scalp from becoming a desert.

Probably a dumb question but burning your scalp would be something you'd be able to definately feel when it happens correct?

Yes. My friend does it all the time when she brings the iron too close to it. All I hear is "ahh" "hsss" lol

if you think your hair is too curly then find someone in your area that does that brazilian keratin treatment. it doesn't really harm your hair and lasts a long time.

if you've got frizzy, hard to manage hair then that **** will change your life. seriously...
