will cord pants stretch in butt area like jeans

Hi, everyone, I just joined this community and made a post to imtroduce myself. I just did some reading and am really impressed by the community. I just got off the graduate school and moved to metro DC area and wanted to improve my sense of fashion.

I am male in 20's and 5'7" and 145 lbs. I saw some calvin klein cord pants, but W29 is a little tight on my butt. W30 fits well on the butt and waist, but the legs are a little baggy which I don' t like. Do you guys think I can just wear W29 and let the butt area stretch? I don't like baggy pants, but I also believe a pant showing tight butt does not look good on men. I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

My advice for cords is to have a cut and detailing that coincide with trousers. Cords that fit like tighter jeans tend to not look very great (personal preference). But if you're going that route, try to make sure they're fine wale.

Get a good fit in the waist and then adjust the leg fit to taste (tailor likely can use measurements taken off of a pair that fits your legs well). Quality trousers shouldn't stretch appreciably at the hips/ waist assuming they fit properly and you don't gain a lot of weight while you own them.
