Why the hell do they put raisins in muffins?

I HATE raisins cooked or baked in foods, the only exception for me is oatmeal raisin cookies.

+1. Also Raisins adds a bit of deeper sweetness to the buns. Good stuff.

Broccoli sucks too, right guys?

Raisins are delicious, although orange oatmeal raisin is definitely questionable use.

Raisins aren't that good in muffins. It's a texture thing -- muffins are too light and fluffy for raisins a lot of times.

Blueberries, however, are great.

I have a big jar of raisins in my apartment. Love them on their own. Don't care for them with other stuff.

I think trying to buy those is the real issue. IMO orange and muffin is a no go.

I'm not crazy about raisins, but they taste great in the carrot-cake muffins that I'm known to make.

Carrot-cake anything can't taste good so adding raisins just creates a different kind of bad.

Even with cream-cheese frosting on top? (Sorry, no cherry.)

I must get some cream cheese and try this! I have pounds of carrots waiting to be cooked into an edible and enjoyable form.
