Why does one so rarely see shirt cuff in the media?

This.

You might also want to look at your posture when you stand. Are your shoulders really straight across when pressed up against a wall? Your arms can be different lengths but if your shoulders are up or down, that'll also affect it.

Of course if you are going to show no cuff, this is a lot easier; maybe that's why most people's generic media wardrobes don't show cuff.

This is completely false and what the masses believe because they just don't know any better. Men wearing jacket sleeves that long have no clue and look sloppy and poorly dressed.

Unless you work as a federal employee in which case your cuffs should cover your knuckles or show four inches of cuff.

Your sleeves are far too long.

Substitute wrist bone for base of the thumb. Remove "Period".

Read his other posts. I don't think he's being sarcastic, although he may be a troll.

The average Joe Schmoe will think you're wearing your little brother's communion suit, but, hey, if you think you look mah-velous...that's what counts.

And you say that like it's a bad thing. What the average Joe Schmoe doesn't know about cuffs is what makes him the average Joe Schmoe.
