Seriously. I just got this game today, and I figured I'd be trying to get the hang of it for awhile. Little did I expect the severe ass-kicking I was going to receive. I swear to god, it's so hard to hit some of those advanced moves and combos on the 360 controller, yet I swear every single person I have played has been mastering them for years. Never in my life have I been **** on so hard in a video game as I was in SF4 today. I am now a humbled man.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

It is pretty fun if you're willing to put up with the steep learning curve. Even though I'm aggravated right now, it's a game I look forward to keep playing because I know I'll only get better and the better I get the funner it is. If you're an avid SF fan then you'd probably want to pick this up, or if you're just someone who likes a fun, competitive, and visually awesome game. I don't buy too many new games for my 360 because I'm pretty picky, and so far I'm not regretting this pick-up.

But yeah, expect to have your ass handed to you on a platter for awhile.

SF4 is totally sick. i didn't have a ton of time to play with it since I haven't bought a console since the Playstation 2 came out, but it plays just like SFIII: 3S which i boss at. it's a worthy addition to the franchise

The thing with an arcade game gone to the console is that you can still hit any and every button and serve punishment. That's why everyone seems like theyre a beast at it.

if you don't legitimately know how to play and do the combos, you won't make it anywhere in the SF franchise. it stresses technique, even it's easiest level of arcade play you need to use the combos or the CPUs will dominate you.

I think that is my problem. Apparently, a lot of the technique from older SF games has carried over to this one, so kids who are brand new to SF4 can still kick ass. I, on the other hand, never played any previous SF games so I'm still trying to grasp the whole thing.

If it weren't for midterms I'd pick this game up in a heart beat. Only after can I ignore school for a video game.

They are hard to find at the moment, but you really need a better controller. The Xbox dpad is abysmal.

Yeah, I definitely want to pick up one of these. I've actually gotten to be pretty decent, but I still am limited because I pretty much can't hit my best moves due to the ****** Xbox 360 stock controller's response/layout.

the 360 dpad really does suck hard. it starts to kill my finger after a while. if you've got the control/finesse to do it the joystick is a better option for combos like Ken's or a similar character
